The Clerks movie cost $27,575 to make you could also tell, it's a low budget film because there wasn't any special effects and it was edited very basically. Also there was no well know actors, which makes the film a lot cheaper to make. The Clerks movie was filmed in the same location through out the whole film this means they didn't have to pay to film, in a studio. Also there was very bad lighting in some of the clips i think this is because they didn't have enough money for proper lighting.

Our group was given the task to make a short film about a 'package'. So we decided to make our package a SD card that had pictures of Harambe on it. That gets nicked by the other person in the short film (he didn't know there was pictures of Harambe on it.) but instead thought the SD card had secret information on it. We also had to do this in up to 20 shots. The people in my group were Rebecca, Raffi and I.

How well did you meet the criteria of the brief?
we met the criteria pretty well because we used variety of camera angles and shots. But i think next time i would try and use even more camera angles to make the short film feel a lot more fast paced.

What went well?

I really like this shot of the subject's hand chucking the SD card because his hand is in the light but the SD card flies in to the dark shadow and gets lost.

I thought the way we edited the title, so it's moving towards you then fades out.

The match on match action shots came out really well because they were really smooth and look very natural. This made the short film feel really fast past. A match on match action shot is when you see one angle of the action and it quickly changes to a different angle of the action.

Also all of our shots came out really nice because the were all in focus. We had to take a couple of shots again and again to make them perfectly focused.

This is a travelling over the shoulder shot came out really nicely with the music behind it because it build up a lot of tension and just a very nice shot over all. I also really like the lighting in this shot because the subject is really dark but the corridor is really light, this really brings out the subject.

At the start of the short film we edited it so the video faded in from black and at the end of the video it faded out to black. This was to make the short film feel slow paced at the start and end of the short film.

What would you do differently?

If our group had more time we would have made the ending shot a lot better because there wasn't much to it and it didn't really end the short film to well. If i made the ending again i would properly add some credits at the end.

This shot came out every over exposed we should have retaken this shot but we didn't really have enough time to do so.

This shot was way to long we should have sped it up because it really does slow down the pace of the short film.

Loneliness
This picture that we took shows loneliness. We did this by going to the docks at Gorleston on sea where there isn't very many people around. We got Billy to sit up on the wall facing over the quiet docks. We used a dutch angle which gives the photo a uncomfortable feel which really brings out the loneliness connotation. We used a long shot to show how lonely the subject is sitting on the wall.

Desire
This photo connotes Desire. We did this by having Billy behind a wire fence, trying to reach though to the bottle of water on the other side. We tired to make the picture as dark as possible to bring out the effect of desire. We used a dutch angle to make the viewer of the photo feel uncomfortable. We used a medium shot to make sure we could get the body structure of Billy and the bottle of water all in to one shot.

Fear
This photo connotes fear.we did this by getting two people to stand behind the fence. so it gave to impression that one of them was getting attacked up against the fence. We used a medium shot to show the top half of the shadows and a dutch angle to make the viewer uncomfortable.

Poverty
This photo connotes Poverty. For this picture we got the subject to sit down against a dirty wall with his hands out to look like he was begging. We used a high angle to give the effect that the subject was being looked down on and a medium shot to show off the subjects body language. We also tired to make the photo look really dark, to make photo look uncomfortable.

Wealth
This photo connotes wealth. For this picture we took a picture of someone with a watch and a iphone. We made this picture really bright to show off the gold looking phone and watch. We used a medium shot to show off the wealth on the subject. We used a straight on angle looking at the side of the subjects head.
