The picture above is the rules that been in placed to make Tv News to be impartial. Ofcom tells us that it should do this but it's pretty much impossible to show the news impartial because the have to cut bits out, before it gets to us.

They news is planned like a narrative, they choose what bits they show us and what order they tell us in. This is why the news cant be unmediated.
I think that Tv news is a window on the world but only a small part of it but with out it we wouldn't know as much about what is going round us.
