07/6/2017 To whom it may concern,
I'm writing to you today to point out the contractual, legals and ethical issues with your job advertisement. I was thinking about applying for this job but the more i thought about it, made me think how offensive your advertisement is. The contracts is very poor because it states that you can't apply for similar jobs if you get the job and that you aren't allowed to to talk about your job.
The Equality Act 2010 legally protects people from discrimination in the workplace and in wider society, your advertisement breaks this because it states that you have to be male or female. so you can't be transgender? Your advertisement also states that you have to be aged below 30 this breaks the equality act to and your advertisement also states that you have to have christian religious views, this is discriminating everyone else that isn't christian. Employers' liability insurance is one of the main types of business insurance, and most employers are legally obliged to take out a policy. It can pay compensation costs and legal fees if an employee or ex-employee sues for illness or injury caused by their work and employer rights and responsibilities. All employers have the right to appoint and dismiss workers in accordance with proper procedures and to expect reasonable performance from their employees. However employers do not have the right to: discriminate against existing or potential employees. The employers' liability and employees' rights have both been broken in this. You don't mention much about heath and safety when talking about making a video about child rape. I really think you should because some of the heath and saftey will be mentally. There isn't a trade union so you could get hurt and nobody would cover you if you was a emplyee.
Codes of practice are not part of the law, they exist to protect the consumer or citizen and have a powerful role in television and film but could be passed to applicants to avoid issues. Representation is bad because they should either do one or the other not both groups of people because it will make the people watching feel uncomfortable. The social concerns are that the viewers are going to think it's weird that the both types of groups might be in the same room.
Ofcom has today issued new guidance to broadcasters to ensure they protect the welfare of children taking part in TV and radio programmes. Ofcom will also protect you get harmed on set. This is under the harm and offence section.Obscene Publications Act 1959 and 1964. The law makes it an offence to publish, whether for gain or not, any content whose effect will tend to "deprave and corrupt" those likely to read, see or hear the matter contained or embodied in it. BBFC give films ages ratings so that young people aren't exposed to violence, sex or drugs. I reckon BBFC would give this film a age rating of 18 because there is reenactments of rape. Intellectual property is a law to stop peoples creative work been stolen so they can copyright it. The popular soundtrack that you might want to use will probably be copyrighted.
Your sincerely,
Nicholas Bale
